All my photographs are shot with a NikonD90 and with an IPhone5 with minimal post-editing. Over the years I've found myself drawn to the themes you see below. While I love photographing people and places, I am particularly drawn to shadows, reflections, and patterns because of their abstract nature. I encourage you to regularly check back as I will continue to add images and sets.

Massachusetts: Lincoln

Settled by Europeans in 1654, it was originally part of Concord. It was incorporated as a separate town in 1754, comprised of parts "nipped" off from the adjacent towns of Concord, Weston and Lexington, and named after a family home in Lincolnshire, England.

Massachusetts: Quincy

Pronounced (Kwin-zee). The original town formed here - of which present-day Quincy was always the center of activity and the main part - was named Braintree. By 1792 the original town had grown so large and spreadout that it began separating into individual towns, with the old original town center becoming "Quincy." Quincy is the birthplace of two U.S. presidents — John Adams and his son John Quincy Adams — as well as John Hancock, a President of the Continental Congress and the first signer of the Declaration of Independence.

Massachusetts: Rockport

Rockport is located approximately 40 miles northeast of Boston at the tip of the Cape Anne pennisula and is surrounded on three sides by the Atlantic Ocean. It was incorporated in 1840 and has thrived as an artists coloney. Photographs also include those from nearby Ispwich.

Massachusetts: Salem

Salem is a city on the north coast of Massachusetts. It is know for the 1692 witch trials and the Peabody Essex Museum. The images in this folder are from the exhibit "WOW World of Wearable Art" which we saw in 2017. The exhibition presented wearable art from an annual design competition.

Massachusetts: Sandwich

Located in Barnstable County, Sandwich was first settled by Europeans in 1637 by a group from Saugus with the permission of the Plymouth Colony. It is named for the seaport of Sandwich, Kent, England. It was incorporated in 1639 and is the oldest town on Cape Cod.

Massachusetts: Stockbridge

A town in Berkshire County in Western Massachusetts. First settled in 1734 by English missionaries, Stockbridge is a year-round resort town. It is perhaps most well known as the home of the Norman Rockwell Msueum. Rockwell memorialized the town in his 1967 painting, Mainstreet, Stockbridge at Christmas.

Massachusetts: Williamstown

Williamstown is a small, quaint town in Berkshire county in the northwest corner of Massachusetts. A college town, it is home to Williams College and the Clark Art Institute. Originally called West Hoosac, the area was first settled in 1749.

New York: Albany

Roughly 150 miles north of New York City, Albany is the state capital of New York. It was recognized as a city in 1686 and was established as the permanent capital in 1797. It is one of the first cities in the world to have installed public water mains, sewer lines, natural gas lines and electricity, and in the 20th century opened one of the first commercial airports in the world. It's city skyline is distinguished by the Empire State Plaza under the direction of Governor Nelson Rockefeller.
