The Massachusetts adventure continues

Every weekend we try to spend at least one of the days exploring our neighboring towns and cities and continue to be amazed by the historical significance and diversity of EVERYTHING. The area is both crazy packed with people, buildings, and cars, yet just a few miles outside of Arlington we feel like we're out in the countryside. This is probably the first time I've ever really payed attention to and truly appreciate the history of the founding of the United States which is a bit shocking considering I love history. But perhaps one has a better appreciation the older one gets? I love all the inter-connectedness of the places - for example when visiting Quincy we learned about Quincy granite and lo and behold Quincy granite was used to construct the Zakim Bridge, the Washington Tower at Mt. Auburn, and the Bunker Hill memorial - and the people as well.
