The Guardians of History
After three years I finally completed my Certificate in Documentary Arts from the Center for Documentary Studies (CDS) at Duke University! My final project, The Guardians of History, debuted on Friday, April 25th at the Full Frame Theater in Durham, North Carolina, and features seven archivists in the Technical Services Department at the Rubenstein Library (where I work). The documentary piece (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YToexPUI3vg) explores why we archivists do what we do. This is in some way a "love letter" to my profession which I'm really passionate about. Many folks don't understand what I or my colleagues to, so I'm hoping this will give some insight. The piece is actually multimedia, using audio and photography. I've put them up as two separate pieces, one audio and one multimedia.
